Hello Blog World and Nifty Thrifty Gals everywhere :)

I have been wanting to start a blog for quite a while, but I just never had that "Aha!" moment for my topic of discussion...
 Then it hit me.  It was my boyfriend's birthday yesterday (as well as Mother's Day), so we went to his home town of Placerville to celebrate.  One of our favorite things to do there (well, I guess everywhere we travel to), is to check out all of the thrift stores.  Now, you can find a great thrift store anywhere, but we always seem to have the BEST luck in Placerville; we always come back with bags and bags of cool (or should I say NIFTY) things!  Yesterday was no exception, we got a TON of stuff.
The great thing about thrift stores- other than the awesome prices on normally expensive things, are the items that you would ever find anywhere else!  All the time, I find completely original, often vintage-looking things for around the house.  And yes ladies, clothes too!
In this blog I plan to talk about (and post pictures of!) all of the awesome things I find in thrift stores, yard sales and any other great deal for that matter, in hopes to inspire you to start rummaging through your own communities! I will also tell you where all the good thrift stores and places with bargain prices I find are... This will give me a great reason (okay, lets get real- EXCUSE) for me to get out there and shopping for ridiculously great prices! And please, please feel free to comment and tell me about all of your findings as well!
